Constipation
When you have a cancer tumor in your colon, the growth can start pressing on the nerves that reside in the intestine. This, in turn, can affect the nerve supply for the muscles in the surrounding area, causing them to work insufficiently.
It is this effect on the muscles that will result in constipation. The tumor can also directly compress against the intestine walls making the passages more narrow.
